Sony Ericsson On The Brink Of Bankruptcy?

Sony Ericsson is having a tough time in their business. Thousands of its employees who fill 2000 positions threaten to loose their job. This situation is caused by the decrease of company’s sales at the final quarter. This sales decrease is very serious, 98 percent from327 millions to become 8 millions Euro.

Sony Ericsson blames the slow of high-end cellphone market and fierce competition makes their performance drop. Those negative effect, will also be faced by employees. Dick Komiyama, Sony Ericsson President says that the company has planned to cut off 2000 job positions. But he didn’t say any further about the plan.

Nevertheless, this action has to be made based on the calculation from Ericsson, that with this cut-off of thousands of job positions Sony Ericsson can save its budget up to 300 million Euro next year. “This steps has to be taken sooner, effectively and considering the company cost efficiency to continue new product innovations as a wake up call to customers,” said Komiyama
