Registration For .me Domain Is Opened
The new domain choice has opened its registration. For internet users that want to have its domain personalized, can now choose .me domain. The registration for this .me domain is opened since yesterday. Not like some other domains that are made for limited communities, this .me domain registration is opened for public.
At first this .me domains were prepared for domain names from the country of Montenegro. This is also for the celebration of Montenegro’s Independence Day in June 2006. However, since they think that the demand for these domains are overwhelmed, thus they were then opened for public.
As known, from the vote, Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has decided to open several new domain names. That is, according to Jonathan Robinson, Chief Operating Officer Netnames, for the internet users to be able to personalize their domains. “The opening of .me domains are an interesting thing and can give options to the consumers to confirm their selves in the online world,” added him.
