German’s Facebook Ask The Real Facebook To Back Off

StudiVZ, social networking site like Facebook is quite popular in German, asking Facebook site to back off from its effort to sue StudiVZ. They said that Facebook reason is because it is incapable to compete. Previously, Facebook has gone to the Federal of California court claiming that StudiVZ copies appearance, service and features from Facebook. StudiVZ, was said, to have done an illegal activity that can cost negative impact to Facebook’s reputation.

StudiVZ has asked the court to decide that the case cannot be continued. The request was submitted to Stuttgart district court. According to Studi VZ, Facebook sues them just because they are incapable of competing in German’s market. Marcus Rieecka, Chief Executive from StudiVZ, said that Facebook is using the ‘court’ strategy.

On the other side, Facebook asks for a claim from the German social networking site. Facebook insisted that StudiVZ is a duplicate / fake Facebook site. “And like other imitation products, StudiVZ has a good quality for services, features and privacy. This will have a negative impact to the original product,” said Facebook as quoted from Reuters.
