Facebook has a new plan to make user’s profile pages to be more dynamic. At the same time, many applications have against the users’ privacy purpose will be deleted. “Users can choose whatever, wherever, and whenever the information they want. If there is an information distributed, users can do that only if they want to,” said Ben Ling, Head of Product Management Facebook quoted from Reuters.

From the appearance, profiles from Facebook’s users can be arranged into some tabs. Users can also choose to shares information regarding their activities in Facebook for family members or just friends. Besides the cosmetic make over, Facebook’s effort to strengthen the users’ privacy might be the most make over we have waiting for. Until now many applications in Facebook have caused new chaos in the Internet called Bacn (Read:Bacon).

Bacn, adopted from the processed meat product’s name, is a kind of disturbing email message because it will make the users’ Inbox full. However, it is a little bit better then spam since it is used from a service that is followed by the user knowing it. Whereas spam is sent automatically. Bacn message seems like it is sent from a friend we know. But, truly Bacn is sent by the application’s creator who want to promote his application.

For that ‘diet’, Facebook is taking it serious to block the applications from Slide Inc. and RockYou, even though the two applications have a lot of users in Facebook. Slide Inc. is an creator from Top Friends application, whereas Rock You is known with the Super Wall application which has 500,000 active users. At first, changes on the profile page will be offered as an option through www.new.facebook.com. Eventually, all users’ profile have to follow this new design.
