15.000 3G Phones To Be Given Away At Beijing Olympic 2008

Olycmpic 2008 in Beijing is just underway. To make sure that no communication error will occur, the China Mobile telecommunication operator have planned to donate 15.000 units of 3G phone for free. These free phones will be gifted to Beijing’s Olympic Organization Committee.

Wang Jianzhou, CEO of China Mobile, said that the company is already trialled the TD-SCDMA network in 8 cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenyang, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, and Qinhuangdao.

While the committee member hopes that the phones will work and operates perfectly, this promotion is also works as a China Mobile’s show-off on network quality. China Mobile will not let any problems occur, because it will be a shame for the company itself.
